An Ugly Divorce gets Uglier
Christie Brinkley’s lawyer, Robert Cohen, has subpoenaed Carri Lyn Ciamarra in an effort to portray Peter Cook as a home wrecker-playboy. (Is that really necessary, considering the reason they are getting a divorce?) Allegedly, Cook began a relationship with Ciamarra after his separation from Brinkley. At the time, Ciamarra was married but later decided to leave her husband for Cook. However, shortly after leaving her husband Cook dumped Ciamarra leaving her “devastated,” according to reports from the New York Post. Ciamarra, a fitness model, has since reconciled with her husband and is desperately trying to stay out of the Brinkley-Cook public divorce. Her lawyer contends she should not have to testify since her relationship with Cook was established after the couple separated.
Joining Ciamarra on the witness stand for the Brinkley camp may be the young woman who is the reason for the divorce in the first place. Diana Bianchi, the former employee of Peter Cook, allegedly settled for $300,000 to keep quiet about their affair in 2007. But, Cohen has also subpoenaed Bianchi and that agreement can not keep her quiet on the witness stand. The couple allegedly carried on a year long affair.
Brinkley and Cook signed a prenuptial agreement but the court will need to decide custody of their two children, child support and a distribution of assets including real estate, jewelry and a yacht.
