Around the Rumor Mill
Rumors have swirled for weeks concerning the possible marital demise of Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Tabloids and newspapers on both sides of the ocean have reported both Guy and Madonna have consulted a lawyer and are currently not wearing their wedding rings (although, Madonna’s rep says she has hardly worn a ring since the couple wed seven years ago). London’s The Daily Mirror, has reported Madonna met with Fiona Shackleton, who also represented Paul McCartney in his recent divorce. As you may recall, McCartney ended up paying Heather Mills only $48.5 million of the $160 million she wanted. Shackleton also represented Prince Charles in his divorce from Princess Diana. There are also rumors Guy Ritchie has also consulted with a lesser-known divorce attorney in London from the Forsters firm.
However, the ugliest rumor surrounding these two is the lack of a prenuptial agreement. Say it ain’t so! Madonna, is reportedly worth $600 million and the couple have two children. We’re hoping this is just an ugly rumor (like her alleged affair with A-Rod) and the Material Girl got that pre-nup. Stay tuned, this could be the biggest divorce of the year.
