Caruso’s Ex-Girlfriend Sues For Support
Liza Marquez and David Caruso started dating in April 2004 and moved in together later that year. Two children later, Caruso has dumped Marquez. Marquez has now filed suit stating Caruso had agreed to pay her over a million dollars and give her the home they shared during their four year relationship, in return for her quitting her job, at his request, as a travel coordinator. According to Marquez, Caruso told her her would “always be there” to support her financially and in other ways,” according to the AP.
Marquez also claims Caruso was verbally abusive and continuously accused her of indiscretion with other actors they came into contact with while they were at parties or traveling. Caruso’s attorney released a statement claiming the suit was filled with false accusations and Marquez is only upset over Caruso asking for a change in custody arrangements.
A million dollars for a four year relationship? Sounds like quite the deal. Not to mention the value of the home Marquez alleges Caruso agreed to give her. Too bad she didn’t get the deal in writing - it would have saved her a lot of time and money. Alleged deals aside, Caruso will be on the hook for child support payments for his two children. My bet is Marquez’s attorney fees will start to pile up, Caruso will figure it’s not worth the bad public relations to continue this battle, and the parties will quietly reach a deal.
