With big name divorces slowing down for the year, here are a few items to keep an eye on in the coming year:
Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez have both been spotted lately without their wedding rings and tabloids are speculating their marriage’s demise, despite having recently renewed their vows and having twins earlier this year.
Per Page Six, United Technologies chairman George David and his wife, Marie Douglas-David (who is nearly 30 years younger), are in a divorce battle despite having signed a post-nup. The couple recently filed court papers explaining their weekly income. Marie apparently needs $53,000 a week to survive, but her big-spending husband spends over $200,000 a week. Nearly half of that goes to operate his yacht, the rest goes to pay for his three homes and entertainment.
Another divorce(s) in the news from New York society pages includes two couples introduced by Mr. Broadway, Stewart F. Lane. Lane and his wife invited Melissa Cohn and William Harts to a dinner party with their spouses, and the two hit it off. Cohn and Harts even double dated with the Lane’s! William Harts and his wife have already met with a mediator and are reportedly headed to divorce court.
