Lost Star Wins Custody
Naveen Andrews won temporary custody of his three-year old son yesterday, pending a full hearing. Andrews and girlfriend Barbara Hershey will now be able to take the boy to Hawaii while the star films the TV show Lost. The boy’s mother, Elena Eustache, brought the boy to an LA court yesterday after she was accussed of taking the boy out of LA County and away from the father without permission. Naveen has also accused Eustache of interfering with his custody of the child.
Here’s where the story gets a little strange; according to TMZ, Eustache believes Andrews’ girlfriend Hershey practices witchcraft and has accused her and Naveen of trying to poison the child. Andrews’ attorney, Laura Wasser, asked the judge for a psychiatric evaluation of Eustache.
Psychiatric evaluations are often requested when one party has concerns regarding the mental stability of the other. Usually if one party requests it, the other party will too and both parties will be evaluated. It is not clear in this case if Eustache requested an evaluation of Naveen.
