Murray and Simmons Divorce Updates

TMZ.com has obtained court documents that confirms the divorce of Bill Murray and his wife has been finalized as of June 13. Although the couple had a prenuptial agreement, both sides recently accused the other of various acts (alcohol and physical abuse) that could have created a very long and ugly divorce. But, now it looks as if both parties decided to end this marriage as quickly as possible. Both sides clearly had a lot to lose if they continued down the path they started.

Jenniffer Butler-Murray was granted custody of the four children, along with their California and South Carolina residences. The court also ruled their prenuptial agreement valid, which means Butler-Murray will also receive a lump sum of $7 million. Bill Murray received liberal visitation with the children and will keep various other properties in California and will pay child support.

Speaking of child support, TMZ.com has also released documents recently filed in the Russell and Kimora Simmons divorce concerning child support for their two daughters. According to these documents, Russell Simmons will pay $20,000 per child, per month ($480,000 per year). Also, Simmons is required to lease or buy a car for each daughter once she is licensed, and the car has to be valued at least $60,000 (and he has to do this every two years!). This document also outlines specific dates and times for all visitation, which will surely help the couple create a stable environment for the children.
