Swizz Beatz and Wife Split
Music producer Swizz Beatz, who was recently named seventh on Forbes List of Biggest Earning Hip Hop Stars for 2008, and his wife Mashonda have decided to separate. According to the Daily News, Swizz initially split from his wife in April. After the separation, he and Alicia Keys were spotted getting cozy. The Daily News reports his wife thought they were actually working on their marriage until, “Alicia introduced Swizz as ‘The man of the hour and my boo,’” says an insider about a birthday party Keys threw for Swizz. “Mashonda has had enough. She put her career on hold to be a wife and mother. She’s tired of pretending she’s deaf, dumb and blind to what’s going on. She can’t believe how disrespectful Alicia is being.”
However, in a statement released today, Beatz, a father of two, stated, “I am disappointed that some have chosen to try and tarnish Alicia’s reputation by irresponsibly implicating her in a situation that she has absolutely nothing to do with.” “This experience has been one of the most difficult times in my life, and as was stated when we announced our separation several months ago, I ask that you continue to respect my privacy in dealing with this personal matter,” Beatz tells Us.
Swizz Beatz is working on the release of his upcoming album “Life After the Party.” He and his wife, according to TMZ, also owe over $800,000 in back taxes and a tax lien has been filed. His estimated annual earnings are worth $17 million.
Divorce is hard, but getting divorced and having to divide up a lot of debt is even harder. The problem a lot of people have faced in the past year, particularly with the decline in the housing market, is how to end their marriage but stay financially solvent. To help allevaite the problem, many mortgage companies will now allow people who are refinancing due to a divorce to simply remove the other party from the mortgage without going through an actual refinance, thus saving both time and money.

Divorce is so painful, but getting divorced and having to split up a lot of debt is even much tougher. So if you both agree on assets terms then divorce is not a big issue to be resolved!
